So grateful to get the opportunity to spend the week in San Francisco because of Dreamforce, but even more grateful that my good friend, Alex, came up from LA to spend the day with me!

A Summer in Review

RelateIQ Mountains

As summer 2014 comes to an end, so does my internship at RelateIQ. I can’t think of even a single word to describe how amazing the internship experience has been.

As a full-fledged member of the UpMarket team, an interdisciplinary group of the greatest minds in the western hemisphere, I helped solve the problem that marketing automation functionality was not working well with the sales process.

To solve this problem, I worked with some really exciting technologies, like AngularJS on the client side and Java on the server side. And after about three months of hard work, users now have a connection between their marketing software (e.g. Marketo, HubSpot, or MailChimp) and their sales software.

And I wasn’t just swooned by the challenging problems at RelateIQ, but also by the incredible people I got to work with. RelateIQ is not joking when they say they are fostering a world class team. In a blog post about the team, our CFO/COO explains that:

Our team consists of a world-class cross-country runner, an acclaimed DJ, an award-winning origami instructor, an Academy Award winner, poets, canophiles, pastry and dessert chefs, beer-brewers, artists, musicians, writers, physicist, coaches, Orange & Rose Bowl champions, and even an Olympic gold medalist. The breadth and depth of knowledge within RelateIQ is inspiring in and of itself.

Whenever a coworker and I were locked in an argument over anything, we rarely ever had to Google the answer because there was always an expert on the field at the office who could settle our debate.

All in all, this was an incredible internship with so many unforgettable experiences, from the acquisition to the launch of our marketing integration features. I’m so grateful that I’ll continue working with this team as a part time employee throughout this coming school year! :)

The team, the team, the team.
Not only is the team at RelateIQ smart, but they’re also incredibly attractive!

Did I mention that RelateIQ is hiring?
